Vicki¬†started her career as a dental assistant in 1992 when she graduated from Elgin Community College’s Dental Assisting Program where she earned the Fox River Valley Dental Society Achievement Award for Academic Excellence. She has also been certified in coronal polishing and pit and fissure sealants. Vicki brought 12 years of experience to our office when she joined our staff in 2004. She thrives on the many aspects of working in a family general dentistry practice where no two days are ever the same and enjoys interacting with patients of all ages. Her many duties include assisting chair-side during procedures, instrument sterilization, maintaining inventory, equipment maintenance, simple lab work and overseeing OSHA compliance. ¬†On a more personal level, Vicki is a country girl at heart, having grown up on a dairy farm. She was married in 1969 and then moved to a hog farm. She has three adult children, David, John and Susan, and one granddaughter Gabrielle. She worked at a decorating store for many years before her divorce in 1991 when she decided to check out the dental field. Vicki remarried in 2008 and was sadly widowed in 2015. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing Scrabble and UNO, traveling and volunteering at her church. She has gone on a medical mission trip to Haiti (2007) and a construction trip to Kentucky (2011).
